Table games suggestions raises the stakes by Del. gaming industry

    Delaware’s gaming industry has outlined a counteroffer to Governor Jack Markell’s proposal for sports betting. The governor’s plan includes up to 13 new gaming venues and an eight percent tax increase. The plan also leaves a lot of room for debate.

    Delaware’s gaming industry has outlined a counteroffer to Governor Jack Markell’s proposal for sports betting. The governor’s plan includes up to 13 new gaming venues and an eight percent tax increase. The plan also leaves a lot of room for debate.

    Gaming leaders have a plan they believe will benefit everybody.

    The counter proposal would include three main points. One, allow sports betting in only the three existing casinos. Two, eliminate the proposed tax increase. And three, add a new dimension to Delaware’s casino industry: true table games with live dealers.
