Synagogue bombings trial to remain in Bergen Co.

A judge in Bergen County has refused a request to move the trial of a man accused of firebombing synagogues out of the county.

Through his attorney, Aakash Dalal had sought to move the upcoming trial because he’s accused of making threats against judges in Bergen County. He claims the trial should be moved to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

The Record reports a judge in Hackensack denied the request Tuesday.

Dalal and Anthony Graziano have pleaded not guilty to aggravated arson, conspiracy and bias intimidation charges. Each faces life in prison if convicted.
