Suspect in custody after Lawncrest dog fighting bust

A suspect was taken into custody Saturday after PSPCA humane law enforcement officers broke up a suspected dog fighting operation in Lawncrest.

Officers recovered five dogs from 326 Van Kirk St. from the homeowner, who reports indicated has previously been cited for mistreating animals.

Also found in the home were harnesses, leashes and other equipment believed to have been used to train dogs to fight. The suspect faces felony charges.
