Sum up your cold-weather defiance in six words
As temperatures continue to drop, and we descend into winter weather and winter habits, there are those among us who may not be ready to face facts. Tell us in six words or less how you defy the weather.
November has been good to us so far. But as temperatures continue to drop, and we descend into winter weather and winter habits, there are those among us who may not be ready to face facts.
Sum it up in sixin the comments below.
We deny the weather in all sorts of ways. I was caught in a lunchtime downpour yesterday becuase when I left the house and saw that it had rained overnight, I thought to myself, “Well, it already rained. Surely I’m OK now.”
After wringing out my socks at my desk later, I vowed to remember an umbrella today. (Of course, today it’s not raining.)
For people like us, NewsWorks issues a challenge: Tell us how you defy the weather in six words or less.
I’ll get you started:
Wear flip-flops while Christmas shopping
Sunbathe on a bright January day
Picnic basket on a frozen pond
Your turn.
