Sum it up in 6: Rumors of Nutter being lured to Washington?

Could a re-elected President Barack Obama offer Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter a cabinet position next year? It’s nothing more than speculation, but tell us in six words what you think of the idea.

There are some who think it not entirely unreasonable to think that President Barack Omaba might have his eyes on Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter for a job in Washington if he is re-elected in November.

What do you think of this prospect? Sum up in six words your thoughts about Michael Nutter as a Washington insider.

Obama and Nutter have gotten more face time recently with a fundraiser last summer in Philadelphia, visits to the White House, and last week’s meeting of the U.S. Council of Mayors (Nutter is VP of the group and one of six mayors lauded by the White House for their approach to city budget negotiations). And Nutter has raised his own national profile, for better or for worse, with his reaction to youth violence and the Occupy movement.

It it a stretch to think that Obama might offer him a cabinet position — if he gets re-elected in November? Philadelphia Magazine‘s Victor Fiorillo suggests Housing, Education or Energy.

That would leave City Council President Darrell Clarke in line to act as mayor until the next general election. How does that strike you?

Tell us in six words below what you think. For example:

Are you kidding? Fix Philly first.
Nothing could make Darrell Clarke happier.
Get him out of city hall.
Finally some good sense in Washington.
