40-year-old man commits suicide near Ivy Ridge train station

Philadelphia Police say a man committed suicide near the Ivy Ridge train station in Roxborough this afternoon. 

According to police spokeswoman Jillian Russell, a white male in his 40s was found hanging from a tree around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Umbria Street and Domino Lane. 

Service on the Manayunk/Norristown line was delayed on Friday afternoon due to the police investigation. By 3 p.m., service was operating on a normal schedule.
