South Philadelphia parochial high school to break ground on field house

Ground will be broken this afternoon for the construction of a field house for athletes at Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti High School in South Philadelphia.

Saints Field House, because Neumann-Goretti is the home of the Saints, will include locker rooms, a film room, coach’s office, restrooms, a concession stand and a storage room on what’s currently the parking lot for Saint John Neumann Place, an independent living community for seniors.

That facility used to be the high school for male Neumman students, who now share a co-ed building with Goretti females 16 blocks east.
