Police say nine children have been taken to hospitals after their school bus drove into a light post in a southern New Jersey parking lot.

Harrison Township Police Lt. David Wingate says none of the injuries are considered life threatening.

Wingate says the bus pulled into a parking lot next to Pleasant Valley School then struck the light standard just before 9 a.m. Thursday.

Thirty-four students were on board.
