Snow and ice cause trouble for Delaware drivers
Most of Delaware’s schools, businesses and government agencies are back up and running today following the winter storm that dumped up to 11 inches of snow in some parts of the state.
Snow and now ice continue to be an issue on many roads, causing several accidents and delays.
According to Delaware State Police, officers responded to more than two dozen accidents in New Castle County during Thursday’s morning commute.
The Delaware Department of Transportation warn that with freezing temperatures, patches of ice are lingering on some roads and snow still covers many secondary roads.
DART reports that routes in all three counties are running with minor delays.
