Serious crash closes portion of Route 37 westbound in Manchester

    A stretch of the Route 37 westbound lanes in Manchester is closed mid-afternoon Saturday following a serious motor vehicle accident.

    Emergency personnel are on the scene of the crash near the highway’s intersection with Colonial Drive shortly before 2:30 p.m., according to fire department radio transmissions. 

    Rescue units have been requested to extricate an individual from a vehicle, radio transmissions indicate. A medevac is en route to Manchester High School at 2:45 p.m. 

    Heavy traffic is building in the area of the crash, which is near TD Bank, according to Google Traffic.
