Shuttles to temporarily replace weekend rail service at select stations on SEPTA’s Manayunk/Norristown line

Rail service on SEPTA’s Manayunk/Norristown line will be replaced with shuttle buses between Elm Street and Wissahickon Train Station on select weekends, starting this weekend, through March.

The change in service, which is the result of track and signal work along the line, will be in effect on the weekends of Jan. 5 and 6, Jan. 12 and 13, Feb. 2 and 3, Feb. 9 and 10, Feb. 16 and 17, and March 23 and 24.

Passengers traveling inbound to Center City will board shuttle buses at the Elm Street Station 32 minutes before their regularly scheduled train times. The shuttle bus will stop at Main Street, Norristown Transportation Center, Conshohocken and Spring Mill Stations before expressing to the Wissahickon Train Station.

Passengers traveling to Manayunk or Ivy Ridge Stations should transfer from the shuttle buses to inbound trains at Wissahickon Train Station. Those who typically use the Miquon station are advised to board at the Spring Mill Station instead.

Passengers traveling outbound to Norristown will board shuttle buses at the Wissahickon Train Station, which will express to Spring Mill Station before stopping at Conshohocken, Norristown Transportation Center, Main Street and Elm Street Stations.

Buses will arrive and depart the Wissahickon Train Station at regularly scheduled times, but passengers should plan to add about 32 minutes to their trips.

Supplemental Saturday night inbound service

On Saturday evenings during bus substitution weekends, four shuttle buses will be provided to passengers traveling inbound between Elm Street and Manayunk stations. The buses will follow the regularly scheduled train times.

The shuttle bus schedule is as follows:

• For train 235, a bus will arrive at 9:35 p.m.• For train 2573, a bus will arrive at 10:45 p.m.• For train 6239, a bus will arrive at 11:37 p.m.• For train 6241, a bus will arrive at 12:37 p.m.

Upon departing the Elm Street station, shuttle buses will stop at Main Street, Norristown Transportation Center, Spring Mill and Manayunk stations.

Supplemental Saturday night outbound service 

Transportation will also be provided for passengers traveling outbound between Manayunk and Elm Street stations on Saturday evenings during shuttle weekends.

Buses will leave the Manayunk Station at the regularly scheduled train times.

The schedule is as follows:

• For train 6236, a bus will arrive at 12:43 a.m.• For train 6238, a bus will arrive at 1:43 a.m.

Upon departing the Manayunk station, shuttle buses will stop at Spring Hill, Conshohocken, Norristown Transportation Center, Main Street and Elm Street stations.
