SEPTA bus lands on railroad tracks, 3 hurt

Three people were hurt when a SEPTA bus jumped a median and landed on railroad tracks in front of a freight train in South Philadelphia.

SEPTA says the Route 29 bus was trying to get around the train, which was blocking the Columbus Boulevard and Tasker Street intersection Tuesday evening.

The freight train was either stopped or moving at a very slow speed and did not hit the bus.

SEPTA says the driver and two passengers sustained minor injuries.
