Senior judge status of Feudale, who feuded with Kane, ended

Pennsylvania’s highest court is ending the “senior judge” status of a jurist who oversaw grand juries that investigated political corruption in the state as well as former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

The state Supreme Court earlier this month informed former Northumberland County Judge Barry Feudale that he is longer a senior judge.

The Philadelphia Inquirer says in a Friday story the court told Feudale last month it was concerned about his actions, including private emails to reporters from the newspaper after Attorney General Kathleen Kane successfully pushed for his removal as grand jury judge.

Feudale says he chose not to respond to the high court because he hadn’t been given any work for two years anyway, so he was “removed from doing nothing.”
