The second annual State of Young Philly event series

Last year, the first State of Young Philadelphia series focused on imagining the city’s future of and creating goals to achieve that future. The energy and insights of the events’ participants made for inspired results. Sophie Bryan, Chief of Staff for Councilman Bill Green, said this of the series: “I thought State of Young Philly was one of the most substantive policy-related events I’ve been to in years.”

This year’s series, “Building Our Future”, will engage, connect, and  represent those with innovative approaches for building a better future for Philadelphia.

The series will lead to several concrete outcomes including a survey that documents participants’ perceptions of the City, a set of actionable recommendations, and an online blog so the conversation around putting these ideas into action can continue throughout the course of the year.

State of Young Philly is organized by Young Involved Philadelphia and supported by more than  30+ organizations throughout the region. Over 1,000 young professionals, elected city officials, and organizational leaders are expected to participate in the two-week series.
