School-based food bank now open

Food Bank pantry now open at Lake Forest High School.

First Lady Carla Markell joined leaders at the Food Bank of Delaware to launch the new pantry for Lake Forest students from at-risk families.  Twenty-five to 30 families will be given food and hygiene items after being discretely identified by school leaders.  This is the first of what the Food Bank hopes will be several school pantries to open this school year.  It costs about $10,000 to sponsor a school pantry for one year.
