Santa and tree lighting ceremony kick off holiday shopping season in Haddonfield, New Jersey, on Friday, Nov 25, 2016.

Downtown trees will be decked out with white lights and luminaria will line the streets, as the borough brings back its candlelight shopping experience.

Festivities kick off with a tree lighting ceremony at Library Point on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

The annual tradition will be immediately followed by a parade to Kings Court featuring Santa Claus.

Several local bands will be on hand making merry music, including the Cherry Hill Pine Barons Chorus, Three Good Men, Shades of Harmony Chorus, Mp4! Quartet and Haddonfield’s own Pick Up Band.

Horse drawn carriage rides will also be offered for those wanting the full “days of yore” feeling.

The candlelight shopping experience (including live entertainment) will be repeated every Friday evening until Dec. 23, 2016.

Black Friday’s holiday fun coincides with Small Business Weekend where merchants will tempt shoppers with discounts, trunk shows and other promotions, plus live music all day.

Haddonfield boasts one of the most successful main streets in South Jersey. Its seasonal trappings and nod to nostalgia have made it a go-to spot for those looking to shop ye olde fashioned way.
