Right NEast/Wrong NEast: Kensington battle rages on

We get it, big media: you think Kensington is in the Northeast. It still isn’t, but we applaud your persistent effort to make it so.

The latest error was called to our attention by a loyal reader. In an interesting and well-written obituary for the late Louis Kripplebauer, the article notes the deceased’s role in the K&A gang. And according to the Inquirer, that gang — and the intersection — are in the Northeast.

We can’t think of another way to say Kensington isn’t in the Northeast, so please refer to how we’ve done so in the past here, here and here.

Outside media don’t care about the Northeast. We have all seen them misuse, misspell and mistake our neighborhoods and our streets, so we at NEast Philly wanted to do something about it. When they get it wrong, we set it right in a segment we like to call Right NEast/Wrong NEast.
