Reward offered as police search for suspect in Frankford sexual assault

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Frankford late last month.

A 24-year-old female reported being assaulted early in the morning on Aug. 29 near Church and Griscom streets, telling police she was approached from behind, forced into an alley and had her purse stolen.

Police with the 15th District and the Special Victims Unit are now looking for a black male who is about 5’9″ and 20 years old. He has a thin build, short, dark hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored pants and shoes at the time of the attack.

Tips on the suspect’s whereabouts can be submitted online, called into 215-686-8477 or texted to 773847.
