Revel repowering postponed until next week

The repowering of Atlantic City’s former Revel casino won’t take place until next week.

An attorney for utility company ACR Energy Partners tells The Press of Atlantic City the restoration of electricity to the building might not occur until Wednesday.

New owner Glenn Straub needs to have electricians on site to handle the power restoration.

After months of battling over whether Revel would continue to use ACR, both sides agreed this week to a temporary deal for the company to provide two weeks of power for $262,500, while continuing talks about a possible contract for future service.
