“This is only a test” – Delaware outlets join the first national Emergency Alert System test

Delaware emergency planners and broadcast outlets will take part in the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System.

Television viewers and radio listeners will hear a message generated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency today at 2:00 p.m.  The EAS system is typically activated by local stations in the event of severe weather or other emergencies.  CLICK HERE for more about today’s test.  Also, here’s more on the story from WHYY’s Tom McDonald – CLICK HERE.
