Prosecutor back home after overseas deployment

Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni has returned home after being deployed overseas for seven months.

But the Asbury Park Press reports that the 42-year-old Wall resident won’t officially return to his role as the county’s top law enforcement agent for several days. For now, he’ll be spending time with his family.

Gramiccioni, a lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserve, had been serving at a base in Afghanistan. He appeared at a county Board of Freeholders meeting on Thursday to express gratitude for their support to him and his office while he was away.
