Police seek 5 suspects in Mt. Airy Wawa robbery

    Police are looking to identify the suspects for a robbery in East Mt. Airy that took place on Sept. 9 at 3:20 a.m. A 31-year-old male and a 26-year-old female were inside the Wawa located at 7236 Germantown Ave. when they were involved in a verbal altercation with three unknown females and two unknown males.

    The verbal altercation moved outside at which point the male complainant was struck in the head with an unknown object. He was knocked to the ground and when he looked up he saw one of the suspects armed with a handgun while one of the female suspects went into the female complainant’s car and took her cellphone and $300.

    The male suspects then fled on foot and were last seen south on Germantown Avenue while the females entered a green Ford Explorer with a partial license plate of JHX and were also last seen south on Germantown Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

    The first suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years-of-age, 5’4″-5’5″, low-cut hair with a bald patch on the left side, a full beard, thin build, wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt and blue jeans. He is armed with a handgun. 

    The second suspect is described as a black male, early to mid 20 years-of-age, 5’9″-5’11”, thin build, low-cut hair, goatee with mustache, athletic build, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

    The third suspect is described as a black female, 20 years-of-age, 5’2″-5’4″, dark hair, medium complected, wearing a denim colored outfit with cut-out sides and dark-colored sneakers.

    The fourth suspect is described as a black female, 20 years-of-age, 5’2″-5’7″, long black hair, medium complected, medium build, wearing a white/blue striped shirt, blue jeans and knee high tan boots.

    The fifth suspect is described as a black female, early to mid 20 years-of-age, 5’3″-5’4″, medium complected, medium build, gap in front teeth, wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans, and a tan baseball cap.
