Police release video of Tuesday armed robbery at Germantown Dunkin’ Donuts

The Philadelphia Police Department released surveillance footage on Thursday detailing an armed robbery that occurred at a Germantown Dunkin’ Donuts earlier this week.

At 12 p.m. Tuesday, an unknown male entered the 5753 Wayne Ave. shop and walked behind the front counter to the drive-thru section.

The unidentified man pointed a black handgun at an employee stationed there and took an undetermined amount of money from two cash registers. He then ran toward nearby Price Street.

The daytime robbery occured at a donut shop located directly across the street from Mastery Charter School’s Picket Campus, but no students were inside at the time.

The suspect is described as a five-foot nine-inch tall black male with a stocky build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an ADIDAS symbol in white, black sweatpants with white stripes down the side, white and blue sneakers and a tan bandana covering his face.
