Police Commissioner Ramsey tours NW Philly for National Night Out [Gallery]

As part of a National Night Out tour, which included regular Twitter updates from each stop, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey made several stops in Northwest Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Among Ramsey’s visits was one to the event hosted by the Germantown Deaf Ministry Fellowship, where he added his signature to summer-camp condolence cards in memory of the victims of the Colorado movie-theater massacre.

Other stops were made in Mt. Airy and West Oak Lane.

“I am impressed by the amount of people standing up for their communities,” at Philadelphia National Night Out events, Ramsey tweeted via the department’s official Twitter account just before 8 p.m. Tuesday. “We need it 24/7/365.”
