Planet Fitness to open Germantown location on Monday
It’s official: Planet Fitness in Germantown will open its doors for business at 7 a.m. Monday, according to a grand-opening announcement posted to its website, and confirmed by an employee, on Friday morning.
Ashley Hochstuhl, from the Planet Fitness’ local office, told Newsworks that they chose the Wayne Avenue location because “it is in an area underserved by gyms and it should be a good fit with the community.”
“We liked the center and the amount of parking,” Hochstuhl added of the site at 5753 Wayne Ave. “Planet Fitness has been hiring in the community over the last few weeks and will continue to fill positions with people from the local community.”
NewsWorks, which broke news of the business’ arrival in the neighborhood, will cover the grand opening.
