In Mount Laurel, walkers took to the streets in support of Walk Now for Autism Speaks, helping to raise more than $192,000, according to the organization’s website.

According to Walk Now for Autism Speaks, the events are the organization’s single most powerful force in funding research.

Hundreds of thousands of people participate in similar events across the United States and Canada.
