Philly sportscaster Merrill Reese talks this year’s Eagles

    It’s goooood!

    By now, Eagles fans who tune into the games on the radio recognize renowned sportscaster Merrill Reese’s signature phrase, which he exclaims anytime the Birds score one through the uprights.

    Reese grew up in the Philadelphia area and, after getting his degree from Temple, went on to work at several stations in and around the city. He landed at WIP in the 1980s and has been calling Eagles games ever since.

    “The Voice of the Philadelphia Eagles” says that the frigid temperatures along with the New Orleans Saints less-than-perfect record on the road means the Birds have a good shot at winning this weekend.
