Philadelphia DA gives tips for safe shopping online and at the mall
Holiday shopping means being extra careful for thieves both cyber and physical.
Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams says people need to be careful when they go out shopping to protect their purchases.
“When they go to the mall or when they go out shopping, to always try to park their cars in well lit places, put things in their trunk so that would be thieves won’t just see gifts and presents on the seats where they can readily break into their cars,” said Williams.
First Deputy Police Commissioner Richard Ross says common sense could be your best weapon against crime.
“We obviously will have our police officers out in force this weekend as we always do, but more than anything else is citizens looking out for each other,” said Ross.
Commissioner Ross says as always, if you see something questionable call 911.
