PennDOT asks for feedback on winter weather cleanup

A glutton for punishment? PennDOT is asking for feedback on how it did clearing roads of ice and snow over the winter.

PennDOT wants to know how its crews did keeping the highways and roadways clear of ice and snow this winter.

Drivers and passengers alike can take an online survey.

Erin Waters-Trasatt of PennDOT says for their first statewide survey they’re asking how clear they kept roads and highways over the winter.

“We’re looking at everything from people’s expectations of winter service that can be low long do you expect until roadways are cleared, what types of trips you prioritize during a storm all the way to how do we communicating with people during a storm or in advance of a storm.”

Waters-Trasatt said the survey doesn’t take much time to complete and they figure people may have been too busy to contact PennDOT during a snowstorm.

“Any time you have winter weather it seems to not feel convenient at the time so whether you had one storm or 10 people have experienced our services throughout the season.”

If you want to participate, it is available via SurveyMonkey. The survey can only be taken once so no repeat complaints can be registered to weigh the results.
