Pedestrian killed in accident on Roosevelt Boulevard

A pedestrian was killed this morning after being struck on Roosevelt Boulevard near Welsh Road. Police closed the inner northbound lanes to traffic while the scene was cleared.

The driver the vehicle stayed at the scene after the man reportedly walked into traffic around 5:30 this morning in the heavy rain. He was pronounced dead nearly an hour later at Aria Health-Torresdale.

Traffic on the inner lanes was closed between Goodnaw and Woodward streets for about two hours.
