Open house at Purdue

Perdue Farms will host Senator Carper for an open house at its Solar Project site in Bridgeville.

Perdue will use more than 8,000 solar panels to harness the sun’s power to help run its facility. The solar project is a cooperative effort between the chicken producer, Standard Solar and Washington Gas Energy Services. The panels cover about five football fields and will generate enough electricity to power more than 175 typical homes.
