One dead, five injured in AC Expressway crash

One person is dead and five were injured after a pickup truck overturned on the Atlantic City Expressway.

The accident happened in the westbound lanes shortly after 7 a.m. Friday.

State Police spokesman Trooper Jeffrey Flynn says all six people in the truck were ejected.

Flynn says the dead person is an adult and at least two of the injured are children.

At least three people were flown to hospitals by helicopters.

Flynn says it’s not yet clear how many people were in the cab of the pickup or the bed.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
