Olney robbery leaves one dead, two injured
One man is dead and two others are injured after an apparent robbery ended in gunfire overnight in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood.
WPVI-TV reports the robbery happened around 4:00 a.m. on the 5000 block of North 5th Street.
According to the report, at least one of the suspects opened fire, hitting each of the victims before fleeing the scene.
Two rings were found near the scene of the attempted robbery, but police are not sure if the suspects took anything else.
WPVI-TV says the victims were taken to Einstein Hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The two other victims are in critical and stable condition.
