Obama’s signature brings federal flood relief to Pennsylvania

President Barack Obama confirmed a major disaster exists in parts of Pennsylvania when he signed an order late yesterday to provide federal assistance to counties affected by major floods in April.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will provide financial assistance to Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, Tioga and Wyoming counties for the flooding they experienced between April 25 and 28. The federal dollars will supplement local and Commonwealth relief efforts.
