Northwest Philly readies for spring in sixth annual cleanup [Photos]
Northwest Philadelphia residents gathered at nearly 25 sites in the area to take part in Saturday’s sixth annual citywide Philly Spring Cleanup.
In Germantown, Eighth District City Councilwoman Cindy Bass and State Representative Stephen Kinsey joined neighbors during the day’s activicties, working with residents to clear trash and leaves to make way for spring.
“I’m continually inspired by the ongoing citizen engagement that is part of the Philly Spring Cleanup,” said Mayor Michael Nutter in a press release. “Community involvement is the impetus for a successful cleanup season and a beautiful city.”
