NJ Transit expands bus service to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station

South Jersey commuters have another choice getting to work in Philadelphia.

Three New Jersey Transit buses will stop at Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, starting today.

The newly created 555 bus will operate between the Avondale Park and Ride in Winslow Township, N.J., and 30th Street Station during peak hours. The bus will not stop at the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden or Philadelphia’s Greyhound Terminal.

The route change will affect Bus Route No. 414 (Moorestown-30th Street Philadelphia) and No. 417 (Mt. Holly- Willingboro-30th Street Philadelphia Express).

All AM trips:  

Customers will continue to alight at the existing bus stops on 6th Street and on Market Street between 7th and 13th streets.

Customers will alight at the SEPTA bus stops on JFK Boulevard at 17th Street (MyBus ID #32529) and 19th Street (MyBus ID #32531).

The final bus stop will be JFK Boulevard at 30th Street (My Bus ID #32510).

All PM trips: 

Trips will begin on JFK Boulevard at 30th Street (MyBus ID#32510).  This bus stop is located on the west side of 30th Street Station.

Customers will board at the SEPTA bus stops in Philadelphia as follows:

Market Street at 30th Street (MyBus ID #32607)
Market Street at 20th Street (MyBus ID #32537)
Market Street at 16th Street (MyBus ID #32533)
Market Street at 10th Street (MyBus ID #32609)
Market Street at 8th Street (MyBus ID #32610)
Market Street at 7th Street (MyBus ID #32611)

AM Customers alighting on 6th Street and on Market Street should board at one of the bus stops on Market Street between 10th and 7th streets during their PM Trips.

AM Customers alighting on JFK Boulevard should board at the bus stops on Market Street at 20th or 16th streets.

All trips will stop at Bridge Plaza in Camden

 No. 414 (Moorestown – 30th Street Philadelphia)

All trips will operate via Fox Meadow Apartments in Maple Shade.

Service to the Moorestown Mall will be discontinued.  A continuing trip ticket has been established with Bus Route No. 407 (Camden-Merchantville-Moorestown Mall) on Maple Avenue at Popular Avenue in Merchantville for service to Moorestown Mall or Camden.

Bus Route No. 414 will no longer be included on the No. 407 timetable. See the South Jersey – Center City Connector timetable for schedule information.

No. 417 (Mt. Holly – Willingboro – 30th Street Philadelphia Express)

Bus Route No. 417 will no longer be included on the No. 409 timetable. See the South Jersey – Center City Connector timetable for schedule information.

No. 555 (Avandale Park & Ride – 30th Street Philadelphia)

ONLY trips operating between Avandale and Philadelphia on the No. 551 have been renumbered as the No. 555. 

Service will operate during the morning and evening peak periods only.

There will be no service via Greyhound Terminal or Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden.

All trips will operate via 6th Street, Market Street and JFK Boulevard in Philadelphia as described above.
