Newtown’s Market Day revives colonial era

History will come to life today in Newtown, where the borough will celebrate its 35th annual Market Day with crafts of all sorts.

From bee keeping to rug braiding, wood carving to candle dipping, visitors can take in several different types of crafts while strolling around the Half Moon Inn to colonial era music.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also features horse-drawn hayrides and a memorial for Council Rock student Carleigh Jones, who died in a car accident in August.
