New poll has presidential front-runners winning in Pennsylvania primaries

A new poll shows the presidential primary races in Pennsylvania are not very close. 

 

 

For the Democrats, Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by 27 points in Pennsylvania, said Franklin and Marshall Poll director Terry Madonna.

“She has strong support among senior voters, and Pennsylvania has the fourth-largest elderly population in the country,” he said. “She has huge support among women voters, and, importantly, she wins the African-American vote substantially.”

In the Republican contest, Madonna said he expects a big Donald Trump win.

“The Monmouth poll had Trump up 16, the Muhlenberg poll 15, Franklin and Marshall 14,” he said.

The race for the Democratic Party’s nomination to unseat Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is much closer.  Joe Sestak has a 9-point lead over Katie McGinty for the nomination., Madonna said.
