New charges for Montgomery County woman who faked cancer

Alicia Tolton has another court date with her name on it: Oct. 5.

Sentenced to jail last month for faking cancer, the Montgomery County woman is now charged with harassing a former friend who testified against her.

Though sentenced to up to 23 months, Tolton was released shortly after sentencing for time served and is now on probation. Part of her sentence was to avoid contact with the two women she duped into thinking she had cancer, and who helped raised funds for her.

So when Tolton allegedly left a harassing message on one of the women’s phones, as the Times Herald reports, she found herself in more trouble.
