Mt. Airy firefighters raise money to fight Muscular Dystrophy

Firefighters held up their boots, collecting money for charity in front of Mt Airy’s Fire station (Engine 9 & Ladder 21) on 6900 Gemantown Ave.  These photos were taken on Friday at 2 p.m. Four firefighters had already collected half a boot full of bills and coins.

Lt. Rickway (24 years old – one of the youngest lieutenants in Philly) explained that members of the Philadelphia Fire Dept. do fundraising acts like this all over Philly at least two times a year.
