Germantown Restoration CDC, City Councilwoman Cindy Bass and the city Department of Parks and Recreation are co-sponsoring the return of free Movie Night events to Vernon Park this summer.

The four-week series kicks off this Friday night.

For the next four weeks (weather permitting), locals are invited to bring chairs and snacks to the park in central Germantown (Germantown Ave. at Price St.) for outdoor movie screenings starting at 8:15 p.m.

This week’s feature is “Wall-E.” In future weeks, attendees will get a chance to watch “Cool Runnings” (July 18), “Despicable Me” (July 25) and “Thunderstruck” (Aug. 1).

For more information about the events, call (215) 991-4744.
