Move over Jersey shore, Dewey reality show may be next

It’s still a long shot that it will ever see the light of day, but a Sussex County business man thinks he has the idea for the next great reality show.  One that features Dewey beach bartenders.

Delmarvanow.com reports local businessman Alex Pires has taken more than 30 hours worth of video shot by his company Highway One video and edited it down at Los Angeles Blaich-Flaum Productions.  He wants to take the footage to pitch it to cable networks such as Bravo, MTV, or E.

Pires is going to keep shooting his footage through next summer where he focused on 10 bartenders in the Northbeach area.  He believes in his project so much reports the website, he’s willing to go ahead with a finished pilot even if he doesn’t have a commitment from a network.
