Montco high schoolers find NHL player’s wedding ring

When the Pittsburgh Penguins visited the Wells Fargo Center earlier this year to face off against the Flyers, Penguins player Ben Lovejoy must have taken off his wedding ring before the game.

The next day, three Lower Merion hockey players were using the Wells Fargo Center’s guest locker room when one of them found the ring.

Jacob Fleisher, Will Levin and Brett Katz are featured in the Main Line Times today for their quest to return the ring to Lovejoy, who now plays for the Anaheim Ducks.

Working off the ring’s incription and a quick Internet search to find NHL player’s wedding dates, the trio realized it was Lovejoy’s ring and reached out to him via Twitter to let him know they’d found it.
