Police search for missing Roxborough man whose car was found at the scene of an accident on Saturday

David Taundi of Roxborough has been missing since Saturday, Dec. 15, police say.

The 33 year old was last seen by his father, Elimon Josiya Taundi, on the evening of Friday, Dec. 14 at their home on Dupont Street. Taundi says he’s been searching for his son since he came home from work on Saturday morning.

“He left Friday evening to go meet friends. I was going to work at the airport,” said Taundi. “I didn’t see him when I came back. It was very, very strange of David. I started calling people, but nobody knew where he was and his phone went to voicemail.”

Taundi says he immediately started calling the local police department, as well as the police departments and hospitals in New Jersey and Delaware to try to locate his son.

“The vehicle that was registered to him was in an auto accident, but no one was found in the vehicle,” said Tanya Little, public affairs officer for the Philadelphia Police Department.

Taundi is described as an African American man, 198 lbs and 5’8″ in height with short hair and brown eyes.
