Milford Police organize expired prescription drug collection

Milford Police want to help those who have expired prescription medicine and don’t know what to do about them.

So the department will work with the Drug Enforcement Administration to sponsor a drop off of all expired or unwanted prescription medicines.  The event will take place on Saturday April 30th between 10a-2p at the Milford Plaza parking lot at Route 113 and Route 14.

The Milford Police are working with the federal authorities because it is believed that medicines left sitting around can be subject to abuse.  Residents should not feel guilty about having those medicines on hand, but if they aren’t using them they should be disposed of properly.  Anyone with questions about this program are asked to call the Milford Police Department’s Community Policing Unit at 422-8081.
