On Friday, students at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in East Falls held an event commemorating the Civil Rights Movement.

Children from each grade at the K-8 school performed songs from the 1950s and 60s era in the school’s auditorium, in which a Civil Rights Movement timeline was posted on the walls throughout. Friday marked the last day of this year’s Black History Month.
