Men charged for attack on 94-year-old Mayfair woman

Two men, including the victim’s grandson, have been charged for the weekend attack on a 94-year-old Mayfair woman.

The woman opened the door to her grandson’s friend at her home on the 2800-block of Unruh Avenue, and was pushed inside, punched and tied up with duct tape. The man stole several items from the home and fled in a car with the victim’s grandson.

Christopher Brunkel, the 31-year-old grandson; and Gregory Drobish, 27, have been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy, burglary, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, possession of an instrument of a crime, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.

Bail is set at $1 million each, according to the District Attorney’s office. They’re due in court March 21.
