Md. man dies after being attacked at Del. grocery

A Maryland man has died after being violently beaten in a Delaware grocery store parking lot.

Delaware State Police said Monday that 22-year-old Tyler Stanley of Chesapeake City died Saturday a day after the attack.

Police say Stanley was in a car at a grocery store in Newark, Delaware on Friday night when a man opened the passenger door and began punching him in the head and upper body. The assailant and another man with him then jumped in an SUV and fled.

A 57-year-old woman in the car when the attack happened called 911, and emergency responders tried to revive Stanley, who had become unresponsive. He died the next night.
