Manayunk store mascot gets a new pal

Bryn Mawr Running Company is not only home to gear for the fleet footed.  For about two years, the store owner’s good natured American bulldog, Bryndle, has been greeting customers and Manayunk neighbors at the Main Street shop, and has developed her own fan base.  Bryndle is now sharing her stardom.  Owner Michael Rothermel recently acquired American bulldog puppy Mayple.

Rothermel’s two dogs accompany him to work each day.  Bryndle, a savvy veteran of customer service, is used to greeting shoppers and the attention she recieves. Twelve month old rookie Mayple is quickly getting used to her responsibilities as goodwill ambassador in training.  Her puppy enthusiasm entertains customers and staff.
