Take a hike this week! Head to Valley Green Inn and hike along the Orange Trail.
The three-mile hike will be hosted by Kimberly Quinn of the Friends of the Wissahickon. Hikers will meet on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Valley Green Inn.
The difficulty level is moderate and hikers are asked to wear supportive hiking shoes and bring water. Cameras and binoculars are also encouraged. The hike scenery includes caves, the famous Fingerspan Bridge, Devil’s Pool and Shakespeare’s Rock. Hikers will also learn about about major improvements to the trails, history of the Livezey Mill and other areas of the park and hopefully, spot some local wildlife.
